The New Light Movement at Lynn, 1822-1826.

This is a collection of papers relating to the troubles over the New Light faction in Lynn Monthly Meeting, Massachusetts. Included are copies of letters and articles, and personal written accounts of the events at Lynn Monthly Meeting from 1822-1826 that led to the trial of New Lights, including Jonathon Buffunt, John Alley, Jr., and Mary Newhall. Included are accounts by Stephen Oliver and Micajah Collins, as well as a letter from Mary Newhall, written to Stephen Gould, an elder of Newport Monthly Meeting, Rhode Island.
